IRC Channel for COMP 210

We are opening an IRC channel for the comp 210 course as an alternative way to contact staff. This should not replace coming to office hours, and we do not garantee that any of the staff will be on at any given time.

How to log in

To log onto the irc server, you can get on a terminal on owlnet and run the following command:

   ~gmalecha/bin/chat210

This should start an sirc session and log you into the appropriate server and channel.

For those of you with other chat clients, the server is sys.cs.rice.edu:6667, and the channel is comp210.

How to log out

In order to close the program type:

   /bye
