Biographic Information

In the second semester of my sophomore year at Rice University. I'm working on a BS in computer science and am interested in programming languages and operating systems.

Research Areas

I've been working on the lint project for a while now which will serve as a model for new languages. It contains components such as a parser, pretty-printer, interpreter and GUI. This project is nearing completion.

The project that I'm working on this summer is PreVIEW which is a language to explore representations of functional programming language concepts in a graphical format and allow for translation between text and graphs. Currently my major focus is implementing a graph layout algorithm for the system so that visualization won't be painful to the eyes. Most of the rendering and a good deal of the GUI interaction has been implemented so when the layout is finished the program should look pretty nice.
